Why The Career Musician?
Welcome everyone! I'm Nomad, founder of The Career Musician. I'm super passionate about guiding the next generation of musicians to their destination. That's why I created this platform – to empower musicians with strategies for a sustainable career!
I've been heavily active in the music industry since the '90s, and have worked for countless celebrity artists, and have played on many films and TV series. I've also worked in many of Hollywood's major studios, and continue to make a living being a career musician.

Nomad’s well-roundedness would not be complete without the title of Educator and Podcaster. In 2015, Nomad started The Career Musician Podcast, which is a member of the Pantheon Podcast network – the first of its kind, all-music-based podcast collective. Since its inception, The Career Musician (TCM) has published over 150 episodes on all major platforms (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, iHeartRadio, Stitcher, etc.), and is still going strong. The podcast features eye-opening conversations with music industry professionals such as Harvey Mason Jr., Leslie Odom Jr., Rickey Minor, Nathan East, John Powell, Nicole Row, Doug E. Fresh, Lucy Woodward, Adam Blackstone, Maysa Leak, Norwood Fisher, Chloe Flower, Kevin Martin, Kirk Whalum, Dave Koz, Fil Eisler, and over 100 more!
The Career Musician (TCM) is an educational platform designed to empower musicians with strategies for a sustainable career. This platform is packed with all kinds of professional resources including an interactive guide and workbook entitled “Ethos: The Career Musician’s Code,” endorsed by the legendary David Foster. TCM’s flagship resource is an online video course entitled “Pro-Level Sessions From Home.” It’s an all-in-one course that takes the student through the entire process of a professional remote recording session. Students learn step-by-step how sessions are conducted in major commercial studios, and how to apply those methods to their own home setups! This course takes the "guesswork" out of DIY recording. Nomad and his team of educators break down the basics, the gear, the techniques, as well as the business.
Outside of TCM, you can catch Nomad in his alt-pop duo Nomad & Lola, who write and record much music for television and film. Their music is available on all streaming platforms!
